NEW! Gastric Bypass Barbie Show Goes Live!

I’m pleased to announce that the PILOT EPISODE of the Gastric Bypass Barbie Show is now LIVE on my very own Youtube Channel! I finally joined the hundreds (thousands?) of other WLSers out there and figured out how to make and edit a video (using nothing more than my iMAC computer, InSight camera, iDVD, iTunes, some pink duct tape and a little baling wire.)

Of course, there’s always room for Jello, so I’ll work to ensure that the program gets better and better with each episode.

Feel free to watch, subscribe and comment! (Then, tell your friends — LOL!)

Now…how the heck do I pick a better video still for the freeze frame? I look like a dope in this one — ugh!

Wow! Great job! Videos have become so popular online. Good thinking for joining in and creating a fantastic one for all to see. Thanks!

@Michele @Tina — Thanks for watching! You know, I *thought* about doing this a long time ago, but I’m a *bit* of a perfectionist and wasn’t willing to do it any less than full bore. I’m pretty satisfied with the first results, but know there’s plenty of room for improvement. Hey, nobody starts at the top, right? This could get addicting in a hurry!

  4. I watched the video in you tube, it is awesome and was wondering if you could possibly let someone who has struggled with surgery and weight loss for the last ten years enter. This surgery is making lots and lots of success stories and it would be better to fill the gaps of the people by giving the information of the surgery in a more detailed way so that people who have some doubts about the surgery are more clear with it and can go ahead with it if they are in such needs.

@bariatric surgery: Hi there — it’s me again, and I’m sorry to say I’m not really sure what you are asking me. (My bad!) You asked if I could allow someone who has struggled with surgery and weight loss for 10 years to “enter” — how do you mean? Enter what? Also, what do you mean by “filling the gaps of the people by giving information about the surgery in a more detailed way…”? Are you saying that you want me to do a video detailing the surgery, or…? I am just not sure what you need from me, but I would be happy to assist however possible. Please let me know, and thank you for stopping by!

Hi gastric bypass barbie, I am in the beginning stages of wls. I don’t have a surgery date yet. I have been doing a lot of research online so I am well prepared for my new journey in life. The information you have provided is a great help. You are definitely an inspiration to me and Im sure to many other women taking or about to this journey. Thanks, Misenda

Hi Misenda: Thanks for checking out my blog and watching my videos :-) I’m so glad you found me and am happy I can be a good source of information and inspiration for you! Be sure to keep me posted on your progress — like when you get your date and everything — so I can be cheering you on from the sidelines. In the meantime, you’re doing the right thing by researching as much as you can pre-op. That will make you a very successful POST-op ;-) Take care and good luck! — Barb XXX000
