I created GastricBypassBarbie.com as a place to safely share my experiences as a successful post WLS patient. Since I began this amazing journey, back in June of 2007, I’ve had a series of what I call EPIPHANIES — “Ah-Ha!” moments that stopped me dead in my tracks and made me say, “I never thought about it like that!”
I’ve written and posted musings about a few of these epiphanies and generally gotten a good response — but sometimes, the mean people of the world decide to show up and rain on my parade, and I get beaten up, finger-wagged, upbraided, chastised, rebuffed and rebuked — all because I decide to speak my mind.
Well, with the birth of GastricBypassBarbie.com, that type of stuff is a thing of the past.
So, now that you’ve found me, feel free to poke around and see if you find something you like. Hopefully, you are a post-op (or soon-to-be-post-op) who wants to listen to my musings (and even add a comment or two.) I have NO IDEA where this little adventure is going to take me. but I guarantee you it’s going to be fun! In the coming weeks, look for motivational ponderings, pouch-friendly recipes, product reviews, general bariatric related news, and whatever my Barbie Pink Heart desires.
